The Hausdorff dimension in polymerized quantum gravity

چکیده
We calculate the Hausdorff dimension, dH , and the correlation function exponent, η, for polymerized two dimensional quantum gravity models. If the nonpolymerized model has correlation function exponent η0 > 3 then dH = γ −1 where γ is the susceptibility exponent. This suggests that these models may be in the same universality class as certain non-generic branched polymer models. PACS: 04.40.K

The toroidal Hausdorff dimension of 2d Euclidean quantum gravity
The lengths of shortest non-contractible loops are studied numerically in 2d Euclidean quantum gravity on a torus coupled to conformal field theories with central charge less than one. We find that the distribution of these geodesic lengths displays a scaling in agreement with a Hausdorff dimension given by the formula of Y. Watabiki. PACS: 04.60.Ds, 04.60.Kz, 04.06.Nc, 04.62.+v.
متن کاملKPZ in one dimensional random geometry of multiplicative cascades
We prove a formula relating the Hausdorff dimension of a subset of the unit interval and the Hausdorff dimension of the same set with respect to a random path matric on the interval, which is generated using a multiplicative cascade. When the random variables generating the cascade are exponentials of Gaussians, the well known KPZ formula of Knizhnik, Polyakov and Zamolodchikov from quantum gra...
متن کاملQuantum Geometry and Diffusion
We study the diffusion equation in two-dimensional quantum gravity, and show that the spectral dimension is two despite the fact that the intrinsic Hausdorff dimension of the ensemble of two-dimensional geometries is very different from two. We determine the scaling properties of the quantum gravity averaged diffusion kernel. email [email protected] email [email protected] email [email protected]....
متن کاملPhases and fractal structures of three-dimensional simplicial gravity
We study phases and fractal structures of three-dimensional simplicial quantum gravity by the Monte-Carlo method. After measuring the surface area distribution (SAD) which is the three-dimensional analog of the loop length distribution (LLD) in two-dimensional quantum gravity, we classify the fractal structures into three types: (i) in the hot (strong coupling) phase, strong gravity makes the s...
متن کاملThe Hausdorff Dimension of Surfaces in Two-Dimensional Quantum Gravity Coupled to Ising Minimal Matter
Within the framework of string field theory the intrinsic Hausdorff dimension dH of the ensemble of surfaces in two-dimensional quantum gravity has recently been claimed to be 2m for the class of unitary minimal models (p = m+1, q = m). This contradicts recent results from numerical simulations, which consistently find dH ≈ 4 in the cases m = 2, 3, 5 and ∞. The string field calculations rely on...
